Hours before their second match in fnatic PLAY league 2012, Natus Vincere has been forced to pull out of the tournament due to being unable to field a full lineup. The Ukrainians' campaign in FCL was filled with trouble as their star player Yegor "markeloff" Markelov has been on vacation, forcing former DTS in-game leader Kirill "ANGE1" Karasiow to step in. Their opening match ended up in a 13-16 loss against Wikipediots despite of a 11-4 lead at half, as Karasiow wasn't able to keep up with the rest of the team due to his inactivity since December.
When asked about reasons for withdrawing from the event, Arseny "ceh9" Trynozhenko said they could not field a full lineup due to Markelov's absence and personal problems. Although no decision has been made yet, fnatic PLAY league 2012 organization has said there is a possibility of another team replacing Natus Vincere in this opening season which offers $4,000 in prizes. |
